At Country Brook Montessori School, your child will have the opportunity to investigate and explore their world. These objectives are accomplished harmoniously in an environment where children of all ages thrive! Just as Dr. Montessori discovered so many years ago, a child who is engaged and interested is happy, healthy, well-behaved and socially well-rounded.
Our mixed-age classrooms allow for younger children to learn from the older ones through peer teaching increasing independence. They are naturally motivated to progress to higher levels of learning. the children, while continuing academically at their own pace, also master skills of leadership and problem solving. Regardless of age, children are encouraged to explore their interests and abilities.
Learning styles are carefully considered as personality, habits, abilities, interests and concentration differ from child to child. A child is never rushed into a new lesson without having demonstrated readiness for that new challenge. Neither will they be held back, even though their peers may be pursuing a different path. Our staff is totally devoted to ensuring that every child's experience is appropriate for his or her own needs
